Radio 1’s Greg James to ride into York and North Yorkshire on Comic Relief challenge | YorkMix

Radio 1 star Greg James is on an epic cycle ride for Comic Relief – and he’ll be in North Yorkshire this week.

Greg started what he described as his “ludicrous challenge” – biking 1,000km (630 miles) throughout the UK on a tandem – on Friday.

He’s due in York and North Yorkshire tomorrow (Tuesday, 17 March).

He is spending at the very least eight hours a day using the tandem, largely on his personal.

But he’s being joined on the best way by different presenters, in addition to some particular company.

Day 5 of the challenge – tomorrow – runs from Worksop to York.

The route brings him by way of Great Heck, Burn, Brayton, Selby, Bubwith, Ellerton, Melbourne, Elvington and arriving at Heslington, York. on the finish of the leg.

He was final in York on the college unveiling the statue to the legendary tall duck Long Boi.

Then on Wednesday, he cycles by way of York, through the inside ring highway and Wigginton Road then heading north on the B1363 through Sutton-on-the-Forest and Stillington, up to Helmsley and by way of the North York Moors National Park.

He ends day six in Sunderland, and your entire journey in Edinburgh on Friday.

Greg mentioned: “A little bit of pain is worth the overall goal of raising loads of money for Comic Relief.”

This is his third challenge for Comic Relief, after beforehand proclaiming he would by no means do one once more.
