South Wales Police says it has not taken the choice flippantly

Two schools in Cardiff will stay closed on Monday after “a report was made to the police”. South Wales Police has carried out the measures at Llanishen High School and Eastern High School as “a safety precaution.”
The drive mentioned it has not taken the choice “lightly” and added that it did so along side town’s council guarantee the security of pupils.

A press release from South Wales Police learn: “Two Cardiff schools will stay closed on Monday (March 16) following a report made to South Wales Police on Sunday night.
“Llanishen High School and Eastern High School will shut as a security precaution while investigations are undertaken, following dialogue between the police and Cardiff Council.”
Superintendent Mark Kavanagh added: “We have come to the choice, with help from Cardiff Council, to maintain these schools closed on Monday with a purpose to keep away from danger, following a report which was made to police on Sunday night.
“This report is at the moment below investigation.
“This determination was not taken flippantly however was made with the security of pupils, employees and the broader faculty communities in thoughts.”
