Prince William ‘Fuming’ After King Charles Invites Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie to Royal Ascot (Exclusive)

King Charles III’s olive department to Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie doesn’t appear to have gone over nicely with Prince William.

According to The Daily Mail, the 77-year-old monarch invited his nieces to the Royal Ascot in June after they have been reportedly instructed they could not join the royal household on the annual horse racing occasion.

“William is fuming and saying Charles has made him look terrible by changing his mind on this,” a supply tells Examiner. “It’s no secret it was William that pushed for them to be banned from the Royal Ascot in the first place.”

As Examiner beforehand reported, there have been whispers that William, 43, had turned on Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 36, amid all the scandal surrounding their mother and father, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson.

“In his view, it’s crucial to the future of the monarchy that they are seen to be taking a very hard stance on the Yorks and letting Beatrice and Eugenie continue to be associated with them publicly sends the wrong message,” says the supply. “He’s beside himself that his father won’t see that and is accusing him of making them all look weak.”

It’s not the primary time the king and his inheritor have clashed over the way forward for the crown.

“He’s already angry about the way Charles let things with Andrew drag on for so long, and he says he’s making the same mistake all over again with Beatrice and Eugenie,” reveals the supply. “William feels like he is being undermined at every turn and says Charles is letting sentiment get in the way of doing what needs to be done.”

William isn’t making an attempt to be appreciated, journalist Rob Shuter reported through his Naughty by Nice substack on Monday, April 6. What he’s making an attempt to do is shield the monarchy.

“He understands his father wants peace and for everyone to get along, especially given everything he is dealing with health-wise,” notes the supply. “But from William’s point of view, this is not the time to be soft.”
