Peter Andre’s wife Emily says she needed to be rushed to hospital for emergency surgical procedure after welcoming their daughter Arabella into the world two years in the past
Emily Andre delivered a frank reply when questioned about whether or not she wished extra kids. The NHS physician has three children with Mysterious Girl singer Peter Andre.
Emily, 36, admits she endured a “horrible” expertise following the beginning of youngest daughter Arabella in 2024. Emily developed an unusual type of hernia that she claims meant her “bowels fell out”.
She states docs initially apprehensive it might turn out to be a “real emergency” leading to her present process emergency surgical procedure. On The Therapy Crouch podcast with Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy, Emily disclosed the experience has deterred her from having additional children.
When questioned by Abbey about whether or not she was completed having kids, Emily responded: “100% executed.
“This time I had fairly a tough time after she was born, I needed to have emergency surgical procedure. She was solely per week outdated and she or he was being prised from my arms, it was horrible.
“The doctor said, ‘Are you going to have any more?’ And I said no, and he said he definitely wouldn’t recommend it. That was enough for me.”
Emily revealed that medical professionals knowledgeable her that one other being pregnant might set off problems with the hernia. She elaborated: “I had a really rare type of hernia, which was quite severe. They said if I get pregnant again it’s going to stretch all the repairwork back out.”
Peter commented: “I have never, ever seen you like that before, I was really worried. You’ve taught me not to be so worried, because you being a doctor, but this was horrible. You went through it, big time.”
Emily has beforehand disclosed that docs instructed her they’d “never seen anything like” her hernia. Speaking to the Mirror in 2025, she stated: “All the consultants I’ve seen said, ‘We’ve never seen this in our whole career.’ And I just think, oh, for God’s sake, why did it have to happen to me?
“I mainly developed a very uncommon sort of hernia that was fairly giant. And that is really fairly disgusting to speak about however mainly, a part of my bowels had been type of within the improper place. That’s basically the best way to say it.
“And the type of hernia that it was can strangle the bowel quite easily, and then that becomes a real emergency. I knew things weren’t right after she was born, because I had a big, huge lump in my tummy – kind of sticking right out. So they got me back after a week to follow up, and they said, ‘We need to get the surgeons to come and look at you.’
“And this was within the night. The surgeon actually seemed and stated, ‘You want to return into hospital – like, now.’ And I used to be like, what do you imply? I simply didn’t wish to..”
Emily, who was breastfeeding at the time, recalls simply wanting to return home and was deeply concerned about what would become of Arabella while she was under the knife. The harrowing experience did, however, give rise to one poignant moment.
Speaking on Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, Emily revealed: “So yeah, there was one factor that made me smile. I obtained into theatre and was mendacity on the desk, and the porter who had introduced me throughout was so beautiful. He was speaking to me – clearly I used to be in floods of tears – and he stated, ‘Oh, you realize, I introduced Pete right here into this theatre when he had…
“So the way Pete and I met was that my dad had operated on him. We were friends for years after that – and it was in the same theatre. And the porter said, ‘This was exactly where he lay. This is the room where he met your dad.’ And I was like, oh. It was just such a nice moment of like, okay… that’s a really nice thing.”
