Mark Henry is talking out—and he’s not backing down in terms of defending Vince McMahon.
While showing on the Nailz Knows podcast, Mark Henry addressed the continuing criticism surrounding Vince McMahon, together with the intense allegations tied to the trafficking lawsuit involving Janel Grant. But as an alternative of distancing himself, Henry made it clear he’s judging McMahon primarily based on his personal private experiences.
Henry began by pushing again on the concept McMahon ever tried to manage or stress him into doing one thing he didn’t agree with, making it clear that he at all times stood agency on his values.
“You ask Vince — did he ever try to punish me? Because he ain’t got enough money to question my integrity. That’s real. I’ve been offered jobs to do things that I didn’t want to do, and I said no. It looked bad on a Black dude to do that. All right, Mark, I see your conviction.”
He then shared a deeply private story about how McMahon supported him throughout one of many hardest moments of his life—when his mom handed away—revealing that he was given time without work with none stress and continued to be paid all through.
“My mama died. Vince was like, ‘Look, man, I know you’re a mama’s boy. Get out of here. You come back when you’re ready.’ I was out a year. He paid me every day, every week. Never questioned anything, like you at home milking it or none of that. Like, you come back when you’re good.”
“So people can say whatever they want about him. You know, he’s flawed like every other man on earth. And when I say man, I mean every man too. We all flawed. We all going to fall short of being Christ.”
“But the one thing that I know for a fact is I’m going to judge you by how you treat me. If I have to ostracize you because of the masses, you brought that on yourself. There’s people that’s mad at me now because I didn’t come to their aid over racism. They gonna have to bear that cross — that’s not mine.”
