A person who cycled the size of Britain had his bike stolen simply days after he reached John O’Groats.
Christoph Held, 48, from Germany, was an assistant trainer at a faculty in Newcastle in the early 2000s and wished to come again to see extra of Britain.
His route took him up from Land’s End up by means of Wales, by means of the Lake District and Carlisle, earlier than he cycled his approach by means of Scotland to the end line.
Held stated he “couldn’t believe it” when his bike was stolen at West Jesmond station days after ending his journey.
He stated: “I have always liked the UK, I like seeing the different parts of it.
“I wished to see extra of the nation after my time in Gosforth, and my plan was to climb the three tallest peaks on my approach.”
The 48-year-old tackled Snowden, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis on his relaxation days.
