Man remains in hospital after being hit by car in Norwich

The man, who’s in his 20s, was taken to hospital following the crash at the top of Prince of Wales Road – close to to the place it meets Agricultural Hall Plain – at about 7.45am on Saturday.

A spokesman for Norfolk Constabulary confirmed the person, who was hit by a black Hyundai car, “remains in hospital in a serious condition”.

The driver of the Hyundai, a person aged in his 40s, who was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and inflicting critical harm by careless driving has since been “released under investigation”.

Part of the street, outdoors No.1 Prince of Wales Road and close to to the Anglia Television constructing, was cordoned off following the crash.

A restoration truck winched the black Hyundai automobile into the air and onto the again of the lorry.

As the automobile – which had been ended up on the pavement – was lifted into the air, at about 12.10pm, officers appeared to look at the entrance underside of the automobile and in addition took footage.

But it was totally reopened afterward Saturday afternoon following the crash.
