No-one else has been injured.
A pressure spokesman added: “A small number of surrounding properties have been evacuated and Carr Lane remains closed whilst our colleagues carry out work to ensure the safety of the area.”
They mentioned an investigation was beneath approach, and that it was being handled as an “isolated incident”.
Fire crews from Preesall, Bispham, Fleetwood, Blackpool South Shore and the aerial ladder platform from Blackpool stay on the scene.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service suggested folks to “avoid the area to allow emergency services to work safely and efficiently”.
“If you can see or smell smoke, please keep all windows and doors closed as a precaution,” it added.
In a press release, North West Ambulance Service mentioned: “We attended the scene with significant resources, including advanced clinicians, operational commanders, air ambulance and the Hazardous Area Response Team.
“One affected person was taken to the hospital for additional evaluation with minor accidents.”
