Katherine Jackson, 95, seen in rare photo ahead of ‘Michael’ premiere

Katherine Jackson, the matriarch of the legendary Jackson household, made a rare look this week ahead of the “Michael” biopic’s theatrical launch.

The mom of Janet Jackson and the late Michael Jackson appeared in a photo alongside Colman Domingo, who performs Katherine’s late husband Joe Jackson in the movie.

“To receive her love and support is all I needed,” Domingo wrote in the caption on his Instagram Story Tuesday. “We laughed and looked eye to eye and had such a lovely moment that night.”

“Thank you to the family that showed up and loved on us and our work,” he added.

Back in March, La Toya shared an Instagram video of her and Katherine at church, calling her mom a “kind soul that radiates love” and “an inspiration to us all!”

La Toya, 69, beforehand honored Katherine with a heartfelt Mother’s Day tribute in May 2025, sharing a slideshow devoted to the pinnacle of their household’s music dynasty.

A decade in the past, for Thanksgiving 2016, two of Michael’s kids, Paris and Prince Jackson, shared gushing social media posts about their grandmother.

In latest years, Katherine — who shared 10 kids with Joe — has been embroiled in a legal dispute with Michael’s third youngster, Bigi Jackson, previously often known as Blanket. She has additionally suffered the loss of son Tito Jackson in September 2024.

Over the years, Katherine has been portrayed by Angela Bassett in the 1992 mini-series “The Jacksons: An American Dream” and by Patricia Idlette in the 2004 VH1 biopic “Man in the Mirror: The Michael Jackson Story.”

Katherine is portrayed by Nia Long in “Michael,” the Antoine Fuqua-directed biopic concerning the “Thriller” singer.

Jaafar Jackson, Michael’s nephew and the son of Jermaine Jackson, is taking part in his uncle in the movie, which has received lackluster reviews thus far.
