Johnny Nelson has lashed again at Prince Naseem Hamed as their verbal conflict has continued on talkSPORT.
Hamed made a meteoric rise in boxing beneath the steering of late former coach Brendan Ingle in Sheffield.
But the pair went by means of a public row after their cut up in 1998 and by no means rekindled.
A movie was launched, Giant that includes Pierce Brosnan, which documented Hamed’s rise and feud with Ingle, however the boxing celebrity wasn’t happy with it.
‘Naz’ urged’ that his former mentor Ingle was ‘cash obsessed’, which infuriated former cruiserweight champion Nelson, who skilled on the identical fitness center.
He believed it did not inform the story accurately to which former gymmate Nelson accused Hamed of spinning ‘disgusting lies’.
In response to that very declare, Hamed stated on the latest episode of talkBOXING: “Johnny wants publicity off my name. Living vicariously through someone else. Clout chasing.
“And it’s got nothing to do what he feels about Brendan. But you know what?
“I always realized afterwards when I analyzed Johnny, there was only ever one snake in that gym.
“It’s unbelievable how much of an over-achiever in boxing what Johnny did because, firstly, Johnny needs to realize the truth about him and his career.
“And that is, without me coming from the same gym as him and opening the doors, I begged Frank Warren.
“Johnny Nelson was supposed to be called—he was supposed to be the entertainer. That was his ring—that was his fight name. Who did he ever entertain?”
Nelson points first response to talkSPORT
It was a scathing assault on Nelson’s profession and character, which he did not take kindly too.
And the Briton who was shut pals with the gifted champion throughout their coinciding rise, had his personal say.
He stated on talkSPORT’s White & Jordan: “This kid is delusional.
“It’s like a canine that retains biting you. If you do not train a canine to not chew you, it can do it to all people.
“He needed to be checked when he came out with this bull****, people let him run his mouth off and talk garbage.”
When requested if any reconciliation could possibly be on the playing cards for the earlier long-term pals, Nelson added: “He sent me two messages.
“This fool despatched me two messages because the movie. I blanked them, I;m not partaking with him.
“I don’t know him anymore, what he’s doing is wrong and if you can’t accept that you’re not my type of person.
“This child hasn’t modified, he is gotten worse. Is that the type of man I need as a pal, no.
“I admire his achievements, but I’ve lost respect for him, he’s a walking contradiction.”
Hamed and Nelson clearly have their variations from their previous in the Ingle fitness center, and they’re clearly unlikely to be settled.
