Filming of The Celebrity Traitors was briefly disrupted after Joanne McNally vaped within the present’s famed fort.
Producers of the BBC’s star-studded recreation of backstabbing, deceit, and betrayal quickly stopped taking pictures inside Ardross Castle, Scottish Highlands, to remind the 43-year-old comedienne that vaping can’t be proven on TV.
Appearing on the newest episode of comics Alan Carr – who received The Celebrity Traitors in 2025 – and Lee Peart’s Bottom’s Up podcast, Joanne revealed: “I remember we were chatting, having a real deep and meaningful. And they had to cut the filming.
“And they got here in, amd they’re like, ‘Joanne, you possibly can’t vape within the fort.’ I used to be actually into this dialog, pulling on this vape since you do really feel very relaxed within the fort after some time.”
And that made the writer forget cameras were filming her and her co-stars, including singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 34, funnyman Rob Beckett, 40, and 31-year-old Love Island host Maya Jama.
