A French utility has agreed to buy the proprietor of the electrical energy cables and energy strains throughout London, the south-east and the east of England in a deal value £10.5bn.
Paris-headquartered Engie mentioned on Wednesday that it had struck a deal to buy UK Power Networks (UKPN) in a “major milestone” for the corporate’s ambition to develop into the “best energy transition utility”.
