Four miles of congestion on M3 after lorries crash

The M3 at Junction 5 close to Hook is at present closed in each instructions after two lorries crashed on the Southbound/Westbound carriageway.

The crash precipitated one lorry to hit the central reservation and shed ‘a load of logs’ onto the Northbound/Eastbound carriageway, in line with Inrix.

The police mentioned: “We were called at 3.11pm to a collision on the M3 after a lorry collided with the central reservation.”

Emergency providers are on the scene and a diversion route is in place through the entry and exit slip roads.

The crash has precipitated site visitors chaos with 30-minute delays and congestion constructing on the close by A30 which runs parallel to the M3.
