The fire brigade stated a number of cylinders in the autos exploded and brought about home windows to interrupt in an adjoining block of flats.
The fire was underneath management at 0306, it added.
Police stated they have been “engaged with faith leaders” and “were carrying out additional patrols in the local area”.
Hatzolah is a big non-profit, volunteer organisation that gives Jewish individuals emergency medical response and transportation to hospitals free of charge.
It has served the North London group of Golders Green, which has a big Jewish inhabitants, since 1979.
Supt Jackson stated: “We know this incident will cause a great deal of community concern and officers remain on scene to carry out urgent enquiries.”
There had been no arrests to this point, police stated. Anyone with info has been urged to return ahead.
One native resident advised the BBC on the scene that he had heard an “explosion” shortly after 01:30 GMT and that “four ambulances” have been on fire.
“We’ve all been woken up… by arsonists targeting the ambulances in our community”, he stated.
