Emil Riis: Bristol City forward joins Leicester City

Leicester City have signed Danish forward Emil Riis from Bristol City for an undisclosed price.

The 28-year-old was high scorer for the Robins final season with 12 objectives in all competitions, and he additionally supplied three assists.

He moved to Ashton Gate in the summertime of 2025 after 4 and a half years with Preston North End, throughout which he scored 41 objectives in 172 league appearances.

Riis has agreed a four-year deal on the King Power Stadium and told the club website, external: “It’s a massive club with a very exciting project.

Leicester have not won any of their first three games in League One following their relegation from the Championship last season, and face Plymouth at home on Tuesday evening.

Bristol City sporting director James Ellis said Riis deserved the chance to “play repeatedly at a membership trying to get again into the Championship”.
