Hello, my title is Sarah Farrow and I’m the Vice-Dean of King’s.
I want to want all of our Muslim college students and workers, Eid Mubarak.
This particular pageant of Eid al-Fitr marks the finish of the holy month of Ramadan – a season of fasting, prayer, reciting the Quran, and charitable giving. Many shall be celebrating this pageant with household and mates, giving because of Allah for his many blessings, together with these circles of affection and help.
In a second when the world feels troubled and unsettled, many in our group could also be experiencing unease, anxiousness, or fear. Feelings, with the significance of those circles of affection and help, develop into much more marked.
This is a time after we can all supply help, by persistence and understanding to at least one one other, to be a group of help and concern. There is a deep consolation to be present in the blessing of group, understanding that we don’t stroll by moments of uncertainty alone, however are held by the care and compassion of these round us.
For all celebrating this pageant, as challenges are confronted and instances of pleasure cherished, could the blessing of group each consolation and encourage.
