Yellowstone spin-off Dutton Ranch has parted methods with its showrunner, Chad Feehan, before a single episode has reached the air.
The new collection, which follows Yellowstone characters Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) as they try to begin a brand new life in Texas, is ready to reach on Paramount+ on May 15.
However, Puck News experiences that Feehan has already been instructed he received’t be returning if, as anticipated, the present is renewed for a second season.
Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan ran the unique collection himself, and he and producer David Glasser have been stated to be sad with Feehan’s dealing with of the present.
The publication claims that Feehan “clashed on set with stars Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly and other key players, many of whom have been working on Yellowstone for nearly a decade.”
The Independent has approached Paramount, Sheridan and Feehan for remark.

However, it was not proof against behind-the-scenes drama. Star Kevin Costner infamously left the Western drama forward of the second half of the fifth and closing season, leading to his lead character being killed off. His exit got here amid reports of a falling out with Sheridan over scheduling issues.
Costner formally introduced his departure from Yellowstone in June 2024, blaming scheduling conflicts with Horizon, a multi-part Western epic he was directing and starring in.
“I did it for five years, and I wanted to work more than once a year,” he stated on an episode of the Today Show on the time. “We lost an entire year at one point, and I thought that can’t happen again.”
Costner claimed he even left filming for his film for a “whole month” as a way to shoot the remainder of Yellowstone season 5. But when he arrived, there was “no script” and “things imploded.”
Meanwhile, Sheridan stated Costner’s choice “disappointed” him as “it truncates the closure of his character.”
