The Delta State Government has vowed to make sure that people concerned within the viral assault on women within the Ozoro space of the state are dropped at guide.
A viral video clip sighted by DAILY POST on Friday confirmed some women being sexually assaulted and molested by younger males during what they termed “raping festival”.
Reacting, the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, Mr. Ossai Ovie Success, stated no pageant like that exists on Delta State.
In a put up on his Facebook web page, Ovie stated he was “disappointed and shocked by the incident at the alleged festival in Ozoro, Delta State”.
“The people concerned will face the results of their actions, and we’re dedicated to making sure justice is served.
“In Delta State, we gained’t tolerate any type of abuse, and our legal guidelines shield residents’ rights.
“No custom or pageant justifies hurt or embarrassment in the direction of anybody, particularly women.
“We’re taking this seriously and working to prevent such incidents in the future,” he added.
