Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) has broke down in tears after studying his abuser Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) has been arrested in Coronation Street.
The teenager has been participating in a secret relationship together with his PE trainer for months, initially beginning previous to the Driscolls’ transfer to Weatherfield. She’s now anticipating his child, and has been blackmailing Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) to make sure he stayed quiet about their relationship.
Poor Sam has tried to collate some proof to assist his perception that Will and Megan have been collectively, even planting a hidden digital camera in her flat to show that they have been secretly assembly up. Unfortunately, Megan scuppered his plan and staged a scene that made it seem like she was knocking again Will’s advances.
She then threatened Sam, saying that if she was to inform anybody, she’d accuse him of voyeurism.
Earlier this week, amid his dependency on ADHD treatment to handle his stress over the scenario, Sam overdosed and was rushed to hospital. His former stepmother Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) clocked an uncommon interplay with Megan, and urged him to open up.
Although terrified, he bravely admitted the ordeal and advised Leanne and her sister Eva (Catherine Tyldesley) – Will’s stepmum – all the pieces.
While Eva was initially hesitant to consider that Megan can be able to such an act, she summoned her to the Rovers to listen to her facet of the story. Megan broke down in tears, saying that she was too embarrassed to inform the Driscolls what was happening, and that on Will’s half, it was only a teenage crush that she’d managed to close down.
Eva pretended that she believed her, however in her absence, swore to make her pay.
In immediately’s episode, she advised Will’s dad Ben (Aaron McCusker) what was happening and he was enraged. He could not consider that he’d allowed the groomer into their dwelling, and that they have been silly sufficient to belief her.
He took Will over to the precinct in the hope he may get him to open up, however he vehemently denied the accusations and backed up Megan’s story. Ben knew that his son was mendacity, however gave him the reassurance that he trusted he was telling the reality.
Later that day, after the Driscolls reported the crime to the police, officers arrived at Weatherfield High to arrest Megan. The ground fell from beneath her boyfriend Daniel Osbourne’s (Rob Mallard) toes, as he declined to simply accept their reasoning for apprehending her.
The two shared a quick kiss, as she promised him she’d make issues proper.
As information reached the Rovers of what had occurred, Will sobbed on the staircase.
Is Megan about to get her comeuppance?
