The competing cooks have a restricted quantity of time for creating the dishes that judges Marcus Wareing, Monica Galetti and Matt Tebbutt activity them with.
Emmess mentioned none of his household had identified he was going to be on the present and he had stored it a secret from his youngsters.
“We just wanted to see their excitement, seeing it the first time, and they were really happy.”
His spouse served as an inspiration for one of his dishes.
“I did a dish based around ingredients that she loved,” Luke mentioned.
“Marcus Wareing said that he believes he could see it on a two, three Michelin star restaurant anywhere in Europe.
“You cannot actually get a lot greater reward than that.”
Emmess has been head chef of the Wykeham Arms in Winchester since 2020.
He had previously been head chef at The Still & West in Old Portsmouth, having studied at South Downs College in Waterlooville.
On Thursday, he and the other two remaining contestants will have a final cook-off for the title of superstar chef.
“It’s been so much of strain, so much of my very own time placing into creating these dishes and practising them, however I’m actually glad I’ve finished it.”
