Championship star Ducksch charged with drink-driving after car crash | Football | Sport

Birmingham City striker Marvin Ducksch has been charged with drink-driving following a three-vehicle collision on Easter Monday. “He has been bailed to seem earlier than Warwickshire Magistrates in Leamington on Wednesday, 20 May.”

Ducksch, who signed for Blues on a three-year deal from Werder Bremen last summer, was left out of the squad that beat Wrexham 2-0 on Sunday.

A statement from Blues on Tuesday said: “The membership can affirm that Marvin Ducksch has been charged in relation to an offence of driving with extra alcohol.

“Marvin wishes to apologise to his teammates, staff and supporters of the club and accepts full responsibility for his actions. The matter has been dealt with internally and no further comment will be made at this time.”
