Image supply, ShutterstockBlackburn suffered a blow this week when it emerged that midfielder Sondre Tronstad had suffered a season-ending damage.
The 30-year-old was taken off at half-time throughout Rovers’ defeat by Bristol City with an anterior cruciate knee ligament damage.
Having undergone reconstructive surgical procedure, he’ll play no additional half this time period.
“We
have been making an attempt to be optimistic, making an attempt to be hopeful, however within the first
half towards Bristol City you may inform he wasn’t himself,” Blackburn boss Michael O’Neill
instructed BBC Radio Lancashire.
“The outcome was the worst we feared.”
