Tom Cruise crashed the set of Star Wars: Starfighter to direct one of the film’s motion scene, however it seems he did it in a sometimes Tom Cruise-esque trend – by interrupting filming by landing his helicopter in the middle of the set.

What’s extra, the film’s star Ryan Gosling has revealed that it occurred on one of his uncommon days off. “I wasn’t there! It’s the one day I’m not there,” Gosling instructed the Happy Sad Confused podcast.

“I worked on that movie the whole time. I get one day off, and Shawn [Levy] sends me a picture of him and Tom Cruise and Flynn [Gray],” he continued. “They’re, like, in the mud. I was like, ‘What?’ and they were like, ‘Yeah, Tom Cruise flew his helicopter onto set.’ They were just shooting, and they heard a helicopter and they had to cut, and it was Tom Cruise. He lands in the middle of set, he takes a camera, and he just starts shooting the action scene. There’s a shot of him in the mud shooting Flynn. It was an incredible moment, and I don’t know why he waited for the one day I wasn’t there. I’m going to hope that was an accident.”

The film’s director Shawn Levy revealed that Cruise filmed part of a lightsaber duel earlier this yr in an interview with the New York Times, saying, “Last week Steven Spielberg was here. And now Tom Cruise is wielding a camera, ruining his very nice shoes. Now when you see the movie, you’ll know that part of it was shot by Tom. I mean, how cool is that?”

Not a lot is thought about Starfighter simply but, apart from the indisputable fact that it takes place a few years after The Rise of Skywalker. Gosling and Gray’s co-stars embrace Matt Smith, Mia Goth, and Amy Adams.
