Brenda Blethyn’s Channel 4 remake of classic drama confirms release date

Channel 4 has confirmed when followers can count on Vera star Brenda Blethyn’s model new upcoming interval drama A Woman of Substance to land.

The eight-part series is a remake of one other Channel 4 adaptation launched 40 years in the past, stars Vera‘s Brenda Blethyn and House of Guinness‘s Jessica Reynolds as two variations of the lead character, Emma Harte, in several time intervals.

A Woman of Substance will premiere with its first two episodes on Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 March at 9pm on Channel 4.

Fans will even have the ability to watch the complete eight-part collection as a boxset following the transmission of the primary episode.

A trailer for the collection was beforehand launched, exhibiting Blethyn’s model of Emma in New York, the place she’s determined to actual revenge.

The footage then takes viewers again to the youthful model of the character (performed by Reynolds), who’s working in a grand home and warned to watch out of her “ambition”.

The adaptation comes from a script written by The Buccaneers scribe Katherine Jakeways, along with co-writer Roanne Bardsley (Hollyoaks).

A Woman of Substance will premiere on Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 March at 9pm on Channel 4.
