Boards of Canada have concluded their mysterious, monthlong teaser campaign by asserting Inferno, the Scottish duo’s first album since 2013. It drops May 29 by way of their longtime label Warp. The 18-song tracklist and album artwork may be discovered under, together with a brand new music snippet shared to the group’s official social channels.
In March, VHS tapes stuffed with assorted documentary clips and static unexpectedly arrived at Boards’ followers homes, signaling the approaching return of brothers Mike Sandison and Marcus Eoin. They adopted it up with a sequence of world posters and, lastly, “Tape 05,” their first new music in 13 years.
