- The 18-track LP is out on May twenty ninth.
- Boards of Canada have introduced a new album following weeks of hypothesis.
An extension of the darkish, cultish vitality that permeated Tomorrow’s Harvest, Inferno spans sensual machine funk, Southern Gothic, demonic, ritualistic music à la Coil, and the sort of subtly emotional atmosphere that is change into Boards of Canada’s calling card. The 18-track LP is out on May twenty ninth through Warp Records.
Inferno would be the Scottish sibling duo’s fifth studio album. The announcement confirms rumours first shared on Reddit earlier this month predicting their return. The group then uploaded “Tape 05,” their first new monitor in 13 years, to YouTube final Thursday, April sixteenth.
