A child and three people have died after a car hit trees on a busy twin carriageway in Derby.

Emergency companies had been known as after a crimson Hyundai car left the A38 and crashed into trees – between the A50 Toyota Island and the A516 – at about 23:00 BST on Saturday.

Derbyshire Police mentioned the passengers, two ladies, 18 and 30, and a person, 36, died on the scene. The child girl was taken to hospital the place she died shortly after.
