Announcing our 2026-27 season | The Royal Shakespeare Company


Co-Artistic Directors Daniel Evans and Tamara Harvey unveil their full 2026-27 season in Stratford-Upon-Avon, with 4 new productions becoming a member of the beforehand introduced Game of Thrones: The Mad King, the first-ever stage play arising from George R. R. Martin’s epic fantasy sequence. Join us for a programme of time-honoured tales informed in stunning new methods.


We are delighted to share our new season, that includes 5 sensational exhibits, together with the epic fantasy of Game of Thrones: The Mad King, plus a Nineteenth-century literary masterpiece, a swashbuckling journey and two performs from our in-house playwright.  

From the sweet-natured romance of As You Like It to the righteous anger of Julius Caesar, the anarchic adventures of The Three Musketeers to the sweeping societal shifts of Middlemarch, themes of identification, transformation, freedom, justice and the liberation that comes from breaking freed from expectations loom giant this autumn, as traditional tales and common struggles tackle highly effective new resonance within the palms of a few of the most fun artists of as we speak. 

As ever, our dedication to the twin mission of creating theatre and training by theatre stays on the coronary heart of who we’re as an organization. In 2026, we have a good time the milestone of 20 years working in long-term partnership with colleges throughout the UK.
