If Airbus doesn’t increase production by the top of 2027, as deliberate, it is going to be oversold as early as subsequent 12 months—that means plane supply commitments would exceed its production capability to ship them. What does the airframer do on this occasion?

The collapse of Spirit Airlines with its massive order for A320neos offers it some respiration room. JetBlue Airways and Frontier Airlines have already got deferred deliveries to future years. But the underlying problem stays: Airbus should increase the production rate to 75 sooner slightly than later, and probably even larger. A rate of 83 planes a month has been underneath examine for a while.
