

A £300,000 grant scheme that helps nature and communities throughout the High Weald has been launched.
The High Weald National Landscape Partnership introduced on Tuesday, March 17, that the grants are open to charities, group teams, church buildings and landowners inside the High Weald National Landscape.
The partnership stated the fund is to support initiatives in creating ‘wildlife-friendly spaces’, like group gardens, orchards and allotments. It can also be aimed serving to initiatives improve habitats by way of schemes like hedgerow and pond enhancements and putting in hen and bat containers.


Jason Lavender, director of the High Weald National Landscape workforce, stated: “Our stunning landscape has been shaped over more than a thousand years by the people who live, work and care for it. These grants are a way to support and celebrate organisations across the Kent High Weald who are continuing that legacy today.”
The partnership stated grants of £500 to £20,000 can be found and purposes are open till July 13 this yr.
