The Yough School District is canceling faculty occasions this weekend after it says an in a single day car crash involving a number of individuals and included “fatalities.”
The district stated in a press release it had restricted particulars on the incident in Saturday’s early hours and was awaiting affirmation from “appropriate authorities.”
The assertion didn’t say whether or not the crash concerned district college students.
Westmoreland County 911 dispatchers confirmed that the county coroner had been referred to as round 3:30 a.m. Saturday to a single-vehicle crash on Creek Road in Sewickley Township. The dispatcher stated there have been no transports from the scene.
“As we receive confirmed information, we will provide updates and share next steps to best support our students, staff, and school community,” the assertion stated.
