Reform UK by-election campaign boss suspended over tweets

He claimed he was defending the Jewish neighborhood.

The allegations in opposition to Mitula have been based mostly on info gathered by the anti-racism group Hope Not Hate, apparently from his X account, which he has now deleted.

Mitula stated: “I’m confirming my suspension as a Reform member pending investigation.

“The feedback in query have been taken out of context, and really defended the Jewish neighborhood.”

He added later he had “no remark” to make on the racial slur he used in relation to black people.

Reform UK said: “With regard to Adam Mitula, our disciplinary course of is confidential and we don’t present a operating commentary on any potential circumstances which can be being thought-about.”

There are more than 76,000 potential voters in the Gorton and Denton by-election spread across Denton in Tameside, and Gorton, Levenshulme and Burnage in Manchester.
