Conor Benn signs to Dana White and Zuffa Boxing for ‘legacy fights’ after splitting from Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom | Boxing News

Conor Benn has signed to Dana White and Zuffa Boxing, saying he desires “legacy fights” and “the biggest stages”.

The 29-year-old had been with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing organisation since turning skilled, however after a 10-year partnership, ‘The Destroyer’ has left to signal with UFC boss White’s promotional firm.

Speaking to Sky Sports earlier this month, Benn said he was within “touching distance” of the WBC welterweight title, and is prepared to battle the winner of Mario Barrios towards Ryan Garcia.

Benn, who has gained 24 of his 25 skilled bouts, has been confirmed because the obligatory challenger for the WBC belt, which is presently held by Barrios, who will firstly defend his title towards Garcia in Las Vegas on February 21.

After his rematch win over Eubank Jr at middleweight in November, Benn has moved down in weight to obtain his long-term ambition of holding a world title.
