York resident who starred with Dame Judi Dench receives signed photo

Lawrence Lister at Ebor Court Care Home in Nether Poppleton, York, acquired a signed {photograph} from Dame Judi Dench, with whom he as soon as appeared within the York Mystery Plays.

Denise Cooper, the house’s way of life supervisor, mentioned: “When I reached out to Julien Belfrage, they were amazing and sent the signed personalised photo to Lawrence.

“The look on Lawrence’s face mentioned all of it.”

The gesture followed a conversation in which Mr Lister shared memories of his time performing alongside Dame Dench.

Last year, members of the York Mystery Society visited Ebor Court to reminisce with Mr Lister about those days.

Mr Lister said: “I ponder if Judi remembers me from the performs – she was only a younger woman.

“There aren’t many people left.

“The Mystery Plays in York had been a tremendous occasion, beloved by all.

“The photo took me straight again.

“As an actor myself, I’m so happy with Judi for making all of it the way in which to the highest of the tree.”

He described the present as greater than a memento, calling it a second of pleasure and nostalgia.
