HERSHEY, Pa. — An 18-month-old baby crawled under the outside perimeter fence of a wolf enclosure at ZooAmerica at Hersheypark.
According to a Hershey Entertainment & Resorts spokesperson, the kid crawled under the outside fence and proceeded to crawl to the first steel enclosure surrounding the wolf’s habitat.
The spokesperson additionally mentioned that the kid caught their hand by the steel fence. A wolf contained in the enclosure then made contact with the kid that Hershey says, “is consistent with natural animal behavior, and was not a sign of aggression.”
Hershey says that the kid acquired minor accidents from the incident.
In their assertion to FOX43, Hershey says that the protection of its friends and animals is their high precedence, and that habitats are designed to make sure security.
