MONDAY: A disturbance will elevate a stalled chilly entrance again north through the Mid-South by early afternoon. Highs within the center 70s forward of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Strong to extreme potential with giant hail and damaging winds, primarily south of I-40. The extreme window closes after sundown with lingering showers in a single day. Lows will drop into the 60s.

TUESDAY: Warm and breezy with highs close to 80 levels. Gusty winds as much as 35 mph doable amid largely cloudy skies. A number of spotty storms doable late. With these storms, the extreme risk stays restricted and low. Lows will fall into the center 60s.

WEDNESDAY: FIRST ALERT – An active day as a chilly entrance approaches Wednesday afternoon. Warm and breezy with highs within the 70s; gusts 30-40 mph. Storms may flip robust to extreme with damaging winds as the first risk. Hail and tornadoes can’t be dominated out. Expect 1-3 inches of rain with localized flooding potential. Keep a heightened stage of climate consciousness. Storms exit late with temperatures falling into the 40s by early Thursday.

THURSDAY & BEYOND: High stress builds in behind the entrance. Highs within the higher 50s to low 60s Thursday with largely sunny skies. Above-normal circumstances amid brighter sunshine return Friday-weekend with highs within the 70s. Dry through the weekend; one other entrance brings cooler circumstances into early subsequent week.
