The Irish presenter mentioned a celebrity was impolite to her when she was working as a mannequin earlier than they grew to become good as soon as she was extra established within the business
Vogue Williams has opened up about being “completely ignored” by a “rude” celebrity early in her profession. The 40-year-old, who initially gained recognition via the Irish actuality sequence Fade Street, recalled an uncomfortable encounter from her modelling days.
Fade Street documented younger Dubliners navigating their twenties, drawing comparisons to the American sequence The Hills. Williams later competed on Australia’s Dancing with the Stars and received Bear Grylls: Mission Survive in 2015.
The incident occurred whereas Williams was working as a mannequin, and curiously, her older sister Amber Wilson had beforehand skilled related remedy from the same individual when she was handing out flyers in Dublin.
During their Vogue and Amber podcast, Amber talked about: “There’s someone who is on the television who was very rude to me.”
Williams responded: “That same person was rude to me when I was working in TV. When I started working a lot more in the industry, they started being nice.
“I assumed, ‘No, no, no’. You do not select who you might be good to relying on the place they’re on that ladder.
“I used to do modelling and I was on a modelling job and we were together in a really small space, it was basically like a little bathroom, and I was like, ‘Hi’, and they completely ignored me in that little space.
“I assumed, ‘Oh my God,’ like simply say hello. It was the 2 of us within the room and so they utterly ignored me as a result of they thought they have been higher than me.” Vogue’s career has continued to go from strength to strength since the announcement. She now regularly stands in as host on ITV’s Lorraine and presents the hugely popular My Therapist Ghosted Me podcast alongside close friend Joanne McNally.
She has recently been tipped to feature in the second series of Celebrity Traitors. Back in January, the fourth series was claimed by traitors Stephen Libby and Rachel Duffy, who divided the prize fund of £95,750 between them.
The Traitors brings together a group of strangers in the Scottish Highlands, where Claudia secretly recruits traitors. It falls to the faithful to identify who they are at roundtable meetings, where a contestant is voted off, before the traitors eliminate a player under cover of darkness.
Last year the inaugural series of Celebrity Traitors was won by comedian Alan Carr. While she would love to participate in Celebrity Traitors, Vogue has revealed she is considering stepping back from reality TV appearances going forward.
She told RSVP Magazine: “I want! I’m not going to do any of these reveals for a short while, I really feel like between Gladiators and I’m A Celebrity…, I’ll don’t have anything left to do! everyone would like to do it as a result of it is such an awesome present.
“The Irish one is amazing too, it’s such a great format. But I’ve done a lot of those kinds of shows now, so not in 2026.”
Vogue is about to return to screens on Richard Osman’s House of Games from 6pm on BBC Two, alongside Ahir Shah, Michaela Strachan, and Dr Alexander van Tulleken.
