She laughed: “You didn’t expect that answer, did you? I can’t lie, I’m incapable.”

She then stated: “I’m so busy, babes, that I’m not sure it’s going to happen.

“It’s unrealistic. I’m so happy they considered me but, like Traitors, I can’t do it because everything clashes.”

She continued: “I would have loved to have done it – anybody that gets it, they’re going to land the perfect job. But I’m so happy with everything I’ve got. What would I drop, to do Strictly?”

Tess and Claudia introduced they have been quitting Strictly final 12 months, saying their time on the present had been “an absolute dream” but it surely “feels like the right time” to go away.

They wrote: “We have loved working as a duo and hosting Strictly has been an absolute dream. We were always going to leave together and now feels like the right time.

“We will have the greatest rest of this amazing series and we just want to say an enormous thank you to the BBC and to every single person who works on the show. They’re the most brilliant team and we’ll miss them every day.
