More trains to be added in two Southeastern timetable boosts

In December, Southeastern will considerably broaden its metro timetable, with trains operating on a “turn up and go” foundation.

Southeastern stated that on all metro routes, excluding the Bromley North line, trains would run each quarter-hour from Monday to Saturday.

It added {that a} Maidstone East – London Charing Cross service would function hourly on Sundays, in addition to a rise in providers on the Sheerness department, offering two trains per hour all day, seven days per week.

Scott Brightwell, the protection, planning & efficiency director at Southeastern, stated: “We continually listen to our customers and monitor travel patterns to adjust and improve our timetable every May and December.

“In earlier timetable updates we’ve got added extra providers, extra capability the place it’s wanted and extra constant departure instances too.”
