BBC Radio 2’s Bob Harris returns to hospital for treatment – RadioToday

Bob Harris has instructed listeners he’s again in hospital and taking a brief break from his BBC Radio 2 reveals.

Posting on Instagram, he mentioned he’s receiving treatment for a problem that has developed over the previous few weeks.

“As many of you know, I suffer from prostate cancer, and every now and again I experience setbacks that need attention. Now is one of these moments,” he wrote.

Bob confirmed this week’s Country Show is scheduled as deliberate, and his Sounds of the 70’s episode on twelfth April will characteristic an eightieth birthday celebration particular he recorded earlier than attending the C2C Festival with Zoe Ball.

During his absence, Darius Rucker will visitor on Country, whereas Shaun Keaveny will cowl Sounds of the 70’s for a couple of weeks.

Bob mentioned he couldn’t present a return date however reassured listeners: “I know that I will come back… and come back stronger. I hate missing programmes and I am keen to get back into the studio as soon as I can.”
