MEDORA, N.D. (KFYR) – UPDATE (8/3/2026 at 2:12 p.m.): The National Park Service says that the physique of a hiker who went missing in Theodore Roosevelt National Park was recovered on Sunday.
The park isn’t releasing another details about the restoration.
Thirty-seven-year-old Artoun Gostantian was reported missing by his household on July 20.
Gostantian’s household reached out to us and mentioned they haven’t been notified that the physique discovered was his.
ORIGINAL STORY (8/3/2026 at 11:11 a.m.): Search efforts proceed for a New Town man whose automotive was discovered at the Theodore Roosevelt National Park’s North Unit.
This weekend, the Badlands Search and Rescue Service (BSRS) shared on its Facebook web page that it’s persevering with to search for indicators of 37-year-old Artoun Gostantian.
BSRS shared pictures of the terrain being searched, and mentioned what isn’t mirrored within the photographs is the intense warmth persons are present process whereas searching for the man.
BSRS groups have searched almost 64 miles by foot and 21 miles by automobile for a complete of 121 hours.
