Global powerhouse BTS has introduced that they won’t be submitting for consideration on the 2027 Grammy Awards.
The seven-member Okay-pop group introduced their choice in a coordinated Instagram story Wednesday native Korean time. “We have decided not to submit to the Grammys this year,” a translation of the message reads.
“I hope that music can be heard and loved for what it is, rather than being divided by region or language,” the message continues. “Thank you to ARMY and everyone who is always with us.”
BTS’ choice comes just a bit over a month after the introduction of a brand new class for the 2027 Grammy Awards, the Asian pop music efficiency class. The addition has obtained blended reactions in Okay-pop areas on-line, however BTS is the primary artist to announce they’re going to sit down out of the awards.
