Steve Davis snubs BBC pundit when naming top three snooker stars ever including ‘most underrated player in the game’

SNOOKER legend Steve Davis snubbed BBC colleague Stephen Hendry when naming his top three gamers of all time.

The six-time world champion as an alternative picked a trio primarily based on “actual standard”, leaving the Scot out of his elite record.

Davis, as soon as the dominant drive of the Nineteen Eighties, has seen his personal place in the GOAT debate overtaken in latest years.

But it was his different two picks that raised eyebrows, with John Higgins and Mark Selby finishing his top three.

Davis singled out Selby in explicit, branding him the “most underrated player in the game” by informal followers.

Speaking on the BBC, he mentioned Selby’s capability is commonly neglected by those that don’t comply with snooker intently.

Davis added: “Ronnie O’Sullivan, John Higgins and Mark Selby,  the precise commonplace.

“Mark Williams is in there as well, but the level Selby can produce is astonishing. Once he’s in the zone, what a player.”
