
A Lake District chef shall be competing in the BBC’s Great British Menu finals this week.
Jack Bond, who co-owns The Cottage in the Wood at Whinlatter, close to Keswick together with his spouse Beth, received the North West warmth of the celebrated competitors in February.
He is now on the brink of go head-to-head with the opposite regional champions from yesterday, Monday April 20, for a spot at this yr’s prestigious banquet.

Dessert, Follow Your Nose, was impressed by Lancashire-born director Danny Boyle and his movie Slumdog Millionaire.
