U.S. will make ‘great deal’ with Iran

President Trump: We're going to end up with a 'great deal' with Iran

President Donald Trump on Tuesday stated he thinks the U.S. is “going to end up with a great deal” with Iran to finish the weeks-long conflict, whilst he stated he doesn’t count on to increase a ceasefire because of expire on Wednesday.

“I think they have no choice,” Trump stated throughout an interview with CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” when requested what he anticipated to return out of a second spherical of peace negotiations with Iran.

“We’ve taken out their navy, we’ve taken out their air force, we’ve taken out their leaders,” the president stated.

“We’ve taken out their leaders, frankly, which does complicate things in one way, but these leaders are much more rational,” Trump stated. “It is regime change, no matter what you want to call it, which is not something I said I was going to do, but I’ve done it indirectly.”

Asked if he would prolong the ceasefire to permit time for peace talks to wrangle a deal to finish the conflict, Trump stated, “Well, I don’t want to do that.”
