Researchers are beginning to unpick the strengths and weaknesses of chatbots.
The Reasoning with Machines Laboratory on the University of Oxford received a group of medical doctors to create detailed, sensible situations that ranged from gentle health points you might take care of at dwelling; by to needing a routine GP appointment, an A&E journey, or requiring calling an ambulance.
When the chatbots got the entire image they have been 95% correct. “They were amazing, actually, nearly perfect,” researcher Prof Adam Mahdi tells me.
