Boeing unveils satellite platform, targets 26 deliveries in 2026

April 16 (Reuters) – Boeing and its unit Millennium Space Systems are working ‌collectively to develop manufacturing capability and ‌launch a brand new satellite platform as they give the impression of being ​to satisfy a rising backlog of orders, the aerospace companies mentioned on Thursday.

Boeing is concentrating on 26 satellite deliveries in 2026, ‌up from ⁠simply 4 in 2025.

The firm is seeking to faucet growing reliance ⁠on satellite infrastructure from protection and web connectivity sectors.

The new mid-class satellite platform, ​Resolute, will ​handle missions ​that require “more capability than ‌a traditional small satellite can provide, with greater speed and flexibility than a typical large satellite program,” Boeing mentioned in a launch.

Boeing mentioned it’ll make investments ‌in integrating its merchandise ​with that of Millennium’s ​to spice up ​manufacturing.
