Fire damages Thurman Cafe in German Village, officials say

Columbus Division of Fire stated the restaurant had important fireplace injury. No accidents had been reported.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Firefighters responded to a hearth at The Thurman Cafe in German Village on Sunday, in keeping with the Columbus Division of Fire. 

Crews responded simply after 2:15 p.m. to the restaurant situated at 183 Thurman Ave. 

Columbus fireplace stated the cafe had important fireplace injury. No accidents had been reported. 

The restaurant, identified for its burgers, was open on the time of the hearth. It’s been a landmark of German Village because it was established in 1942 and was featured on an episode of “Man v. Food.”

The explanation for the hearth is beneath investigation.
