Trains from Twickenham in the direction of London Waterloo have been cancelled and delayed this afternoon (Thursday, 9 April) after a individual died on the tracks at Clapham Junction.
A spokesperson for South Western Railway (SWR) informed Nub News: “We were called to Queenstown Road railway station at 11.49am on 9 April to reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics additionally attended and sadly a individual was pronounced lifeless on the scene. This incident will not be being handled as suspicious, and a file can be ready for the coroner.”
SWR says it expects that services will resume at the end of the day and asks commuters to check their journeys via its website here.
The British Transport Police has been approached for comment.
