Britain’s Got Talent returned to our screens tonight with the normal combine of hilarious and peculiar auditions, blended in with magicians, singers and dancers who managed to impress the judges. However, one act topped all of them.
Paul Nunnari, who had travelled from Australia to audition, shocked judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, KSI and Alesha Dixon along with his act. Following shouts of “hit the gold” from the crowd, which nearly drowned out the judges’ suggestions, Simon hit the coveted Golden Buzzer, sending Paul straight via to the reside semi-finals.
Paul, who makes use of a wheelchair, drew gasps from the viewers when a set of aerial silks fell from the ceiling, and left them additional open-mouthed as he climbed them and spun round while hanging from them.

“Actually one of the most incredible things, I really do believe, that I’ve ever seen. And you’re so humble, and so nice and so talented, and that’s why we have….” Following his dramatic pause, Simon stood up and pressed the Golden Buzzer, sending golden confetti raining down on a speechless Paul.
Speaking afterwards, he mentioned, “Simon’s been around so long, he’s seen so much, and to have him give me the Golden Buzzer was a dream come true, so I’m very happy.”
